Meet Whistl, the new name for TNT Post in the UK
The rebrand came about due to the separation of TNT Group and individual stock market listing of PostNL and TNT Express in 2011.
As part of the deal, TNT Express retained the rights to use the TNT brand and PostNL, and its international operations, were required to change their brands by the end of 2014, hence the appearance of Whistl in the UK.
Whistl was chosen as the new brand following extensive research and development work over the past 18 months. Feedback consistently regarded employees of TNT Post as its greatest asset and was its key differentiator from competitors in the delivery market. The Whistl brand reflects happy people and is a natural reaction when people are happily going about their work.
Talking of happy people, I so need to get myself one of the AirWheels that some of the Whistl posties are playing with! Nick Wells, CEO of Whistl, explains: “Whistl is dynamic and entrepreneurial; we will continue to make a noise in the industry, whether this is through innovation or challenging convention, so our clients continue to love us and we continue to be successful.”
If you’re sending large number of packets each day then Whistl are worth speaking to. Typical categories would include books, dvds, cds, catalogues, fashion/ jewellery accessories and clothing, with the sweet spot being volumes around 250 items or more each day for packets up to 2kgs.
Whistl’s latest service is called P&P Insight, this service allows customers to use their own barcode to track their items within their operational network. You could use an eBay Selling Manager Pro invoice number or the order number from your channel management program meaning any of your customer service reps could easily check the status of a parcel using a reference readily to hand.
If you’d like to find out more about Whistl and how they could help deliver your parcels, you can contact them on 01628 891 644, email [email protected] or reach them through their website.
