BattleHack London is fast approaching and this year’s event takes place between 25-26th April at Tobacco Dock. Now in its third year, BattleHack London is part of the BattleHack global series designed to promote ‘hacking for good’ and winners from London will go forward to the World Finals in Silicon Valley with a chance to win $100,000.
Previous UK winners include Team Hello whose app has now been downloaded almost 5 million times.
With hackathons becoming increasingly popular as proving grounds for new ideas, the first 100 tickets to this year’s BattleHack London sold out in seven seconds. Judges at this year’s event include Sky’s Gadget Geeks presenter, Tom Scott; The Mobile Academy’s Julia Shalet; seed investors TechStars; API engineer, Paul Hallett and John Lunn, senior director of developer relations, PayPal & Braintree.
