Maplin engages iForce for multichannel logistics

MaplinElectronic retailer Maplin has chosen end-to-end logistics specialist iForce as its multichannel partner to manage all of its warehousing needs thereby enabling them to improve customer and store availability through the upgrade of their warehouse management systems, whilst enabling their increased focus on product and service proposition.

iForceiForce has implanted into Maplin’s Rotherham-based site, to manage their nationwide on line and store replenishment enabling, through their SMART warehouse management system, the introduction of a Click and Collect proposition whilst also increasing stock accuracy and capacity for further SKU ranges thereby supporting Maplin’s focus on customer choice.

Maplin have long been an eBay retailer with their marketplace sales managed by Pentagon and their eBay shop and template design from Ecommerce Ink.

Maplin Chief Executive, John Cleland said of the new partnership: “iForce has already helped us to further improve the Maplin customer experience, enabling us to innovate in the multichannel arena and provide increased product choice, improved availability and collection options for our loyal customers. With iForce’s expertise in partnership with ours, we have a strong business model going forward”.
