Amazon Prime Now which launched in London in July is now available in Birmingham and surrounding suburbs.
Prime Now is available exclusively for Amazon Prime Members on the Prime Now app and as well as offering one hour deliveries across the city of Birmingham also covers Cannock, Lichfield, Walsall, Wolverhampton.
This really is a game changer for Amazon, it’s not often that you need something delivered within the hour, but when you do you really need the product fast. As well as delivery within one-hour for £6.99, Prime Now members can opt for delivery within a two-hour, same-day window for free, from 8am – midnight. There’s a minimum order value of £20.
With eBay shuttering their eBay Now program Amazon is best positioned both in the UK and the US to take over deliveries for emergencies. eBay owned Shutl still operates in the UK and have expanded to offer bike, motorbike and courier deliveries, but it’s down to you to buy the goods and then arrange a Shutl collection separately. Amazon have stitched everything together into a single package via the Prime Now app for those within London or Birmingham operating areas.
