Volo launches FBA Connect in time for Peak 2015

Volo with taglineVolo Commerce have just announced the general availability of their FBA Connect feature, designed to help sellers grow their Amazon sales and improve operational efficiencies.

I’ve written about FBA a few times recently and am personally convinced that to take full advantage of Black Friday sales and the Christmas peak season that sellers should seriously consider putting some (or all) of their best selling lines into FBA. Volo’s new FBA Connect is designed to make the entire FBA process as seamless and easy to manage as possible.

Mark Gregory, ecommerce Manager of multi-category retailer XS-Stock agrees saying “FBA is a major part of our Amazon marketplace operations. Last year, using FBA meant that we didn’t have to recruit five times as many staff through peak periods and ensured that we could process the orders on time, especially through Black Friday. The incorporation of FBA within Volo and the use of analytics over these key periods will grow sellers’ business and improve efficiency. We’re looking forward to the release of FBA Connect and to the further benefits it will bring to our business.”

Volo’s FBA Connect provides a workflow that allows users to analyse sales performance on Amazon, automate the synchronisation of stock levels, receive sales orders, perform multi-channel fulfilment, book FBA partner couriers, organise FBA consignments and raise shipments.

By mirroring the Amazon FBA workflow, Volo FBA Connect enables sellers to run all aspects of their Amazon business – along with their other sales channels and marketplaces – from within the Volo platform. There are major time-saving and labour-saving advantages for sellers being able to organise their FBA business inside a single platform.

The new FBA Connect area of the Volo platform has all the functionality and workflow of FBA, with Volo’s analytics layered on top. It gives sellers an accurate picture of stock performance so that they can select the right quantities of the right items with the best potential to sell, and then fulfill them in the most cost-effective manner.

Scalability is also very important for large and fast-growing sellers. The FBA Connect workflow allows larger enterprises to divide the responsibilities and processes easily. For example, larger sellers may wish to separate pick, pack or dispatch for FBA consignments from sales orders. Alternatively, enterprises may want their sales and marketing teams to create the shipments and their warehousing teams to execute the shipments. The FBA Connect workflow makes this possible.

Paul Watson - VoloPaul Watson, CEO of Volo Commerce summed their new FBA Connect up telling Tamebay: “Our customers continually tell us that it is hard work managing FBA without good analytics because there are so many data points to consider. By integrating Volo analytics and FBA, sellers can easily allocate items to consignments if they are selling well. It’s also important to know how fast an item sells, how many days of stock are left and how long it takes for new stock to come in, so that sellers can plan accordingly. The platform also provides a wide range of labelling and courier options, to maximise cost efficiencies. We are delighted to be able to bring this to market in time for sellers to be ready for the peak trading period.”
