ParcelBright stops accepting courier requests

ParcelBrightParcelBright, a courier consolidator, has stopped accepting requests for parcel collections.

We were unable to contact the company over the weekend so we don’t know if this is a temporary situation or permanent. A note on the ParcelBright website posted on Friday reads “Please note that due to important changes at Cofundit Ltd which trades as ParcelBright, we will not be in a position to offer any more courier services via this website and you should not attempt to place any orders – with effect from today, Friday 22 January 2016“.

This underlines the importance of having multiple courier contracts or arrangements with third party consolidators. If you’re a ParcelBright customer, you’ll need to make alternative arrangements for this Monday morning. If you’re seeking a new service you’ll find a list of possible suppliers in the Tamebay Guide.

  1. We’ve had around 50 parcel bright clients so far come to us looking for a solution to keep moving next week. Thankfully we’ve managed to keep them moving so they aren’t stranded.

If anyone other companies are stuck we can put a temporary solution in place for those too while a permanent solution is put in place.

  2. Such a shame, Parcel Bright where our backup courier option that we used sometimes. We have used them to send many items in one day and also occasionally send the odd parcel whilst using another courier. Never had a problem and always had good service.

I wonder if the market for these things is just crowded.

  3. There are plenty of parcels to go around – city link left 6 million gap to be filled. I think the problem is the carriers are squeezing the brokers/resellers out as they don’t like working with them – even though they are putting business there way!

  4. Sad to learn of a fellow courier company being in difficulty. If you have been affected by this and are looking for alternative options please get in touch with us.
