Amazon wants 2% of the UK grocery market

If Amazon won just 2% of the UK grocery market that would be a tidy £3bn of turnover according to this infographic from Retail Vision. That seems not just possible but probable? Who wants to bet they’d love a little bit more?

  1. in 2016 infographics have already wasted 10trillion manhours – more than enough to return to the beginning of time and slap god.
the kind of irrelevent trivia that just NEEDS to tell you how many football lengths every measurement is, like football pitches are the new yardstick for miles or acres.
the people who generate infographics obviously have trouble absorbing normal information in a normal manner, so must remove any useful information and replace it with brightly coloured pictures.
infographics are the equivelant of kids tv science shows, most of the actual science has been taken out and replaced with whacky sock puppets, so the under-developed brain can better understand the concepts the grown-ups are discussing.
this one in particular is devoid of any merit whatsoever, it can be summed up with
“amazon are big and getting bigger.
    they want to sell food.
they’ll probably sell a lot of it”.
rephrasing this as a colourful picture doesnt add anything to the three-sentence passage i just contributed, it just gets more colurful, and apparently became newsworthy in the process.
