PayPal has revealed the first partners to adopt its PayPal Here Software Developers Kit (SDK) in the UK.
The PayPal Here SDK is designed to allow partners and developers to integrate Chip & PIN and contactless card payments seamlessly into their iOS and Android apps. Rather than having to separately log into PayPal to take payments with the card reader, the SDK enables the retailer to take payment directly in their own app.
PayPal’s first eight new partners offer highly tailored POS solutions that add unique capabilities to the PayPal Here Contactless Chip & PIN Card Reader, such as inventory management, CRM, invoicing, scheduling, reporting, and the ability to provide a more personalised customer experience.
AirPOS creates affordable software for small to medium size retailers selling across single and multiple points of sale, offering real-time access to inventory and financial data, helping retailers to better serve their customers, lower operating costs and increase sales. AirPOS’ iOS and Android apps use PayPal Here to accept card and contactless payments.
Autocab, the world’s largest supplier of cloud-based taxi booking and dispatch systems, has integrated the PayPal Here SDK into its app so drivers can offer the speed and convenience of secure electronic payments right in the vehicle, and taxi and private hire firms can capitalise on the growth of non-cash transactions in the industry.
BookingBug provides businesses with an end-to-end booking solution for real-time management of appointments, communications and resources. With PayPal Here added into the system, retailers can accept payments in-person and online.
