Amazon are going big on Live Music and Entertainment Experiences and are now offering exclusive access to Amazon Tickets pre-sales to music, theatre and family concerts and shows throughout the UK.
As you’d expect, the benefits are all for Amazon Prime members, enabling them to purchase tickets for many events at least 24 hours before they go on sale to the general public. Tickets for luxury Amazon lounges, Premium Seating and Pre-Sales for music concerts and entertainment shows across the UK available on Amazon Tickets.
New Amazon lounges at The O2 and The SSE Arena, Wembley are now open, giving lounge ticket holders access to premium entertainment experiences at the biggest live events including Emeli Sandé, Ariana Grande, John Mayer, Little Mix, and many more global stars. In addition, The Killers, Justin Bieber, Kings of Leon, and many more artists are performing at summer festivals where Prime members can access tickets to new premium entertainment experiences.
Thousands of tickets will be available for pre-sale exclusively for Prime members from this Thursday (the 30th of March) including UK concert tours by ABC, Art Garfunkel, The Darkness, KC & The Sunshine Band and Sparks, with more music and new theatre events to be added regularly.
“We’re always looking to add to Amazon Prime, and today we’re delighted to give our members exclusive access to tickets to our new Amazon lounges, premium seating and pre-sales for live music and entertainment experiences across the UK.”
– Geraldine Wilson, General Manager of Amazon Tickets
How will Amazon tickets help sell product?
As with everything that Amazon do, Amazon Tickets is designed to tie consumers into their Amazon Prime program. I can imagine many a family who will consider £79 a small price to pay to get early access to tickets for just one concert, compared to dialling up a ticket hotline or scrabbling to find a website is inundated only to discover the same tickets online at inflated prices.
Once again Amazon’s drive to sign up Prime members points towards FBA as the number one method to attack the Prime audience. There are two options to ensure your products appear when a Prime member clicks in search to show Prime Eligible products (which automatically hides non-FBA items). Either put your inventory into an Amazon fulfilment centre or access seller fulfilled FBA.
Seller Fulfilled FBA may be tough to qualify for, but partners such as Trojan can assist to fast track acceptance into the program. Standard FBA is pretty much open to everyone, but does mean giving Amazon control of your inventory.
