Win $10K USD from Etsy in their Small Business Contest

No primary category set

Quirky online marketplace Etsy has launched a competition that could mean you win $10k USD. It’s a contest that will suit anyone who is a social media whizz and has an army of online followers.

As they say: “Tell us what makes your Etsy shop one of a kind: is it something unique you sell, a memorable story about how you got your start, or a special approach you have to business? Submit your entry and then champion your business to collect as many votes as possible.”

Once you’ve produced your entry you’ll be given a specific URL and encouraged to share your contribution on social media and garner votes from your friends and followers. It’s rather a cunning way of driving awareness of Etsy using sellers and their connections on Facebook and Twitter and the rest. There are dedicated hashtags for you to use too: #DifferenceMakesUs and #EtsySmallBusiness.

It is open to sellers out side the USA. In the Ts and Cs they say that sellers in “UK, Canada (excluding residents of Quebec), France, Germany and Australia aged 18 or over and who have an active listing in an Etsy shop” and “who have fulfilled the eligibility requirements.” Find out more on the competition page here.
