Barclays cash machines to go offline on Wednesday

No primary category set

Barclays have warned their customers that their cash machines will all be switched off early on Wednesday for a couple of hours while maintenance takes place.

It’s unlikely that most people will be affected as the machines will be down from midnight to 2am in the morning on Wednesday 10th May. Barclays advise that if you’re likely to want any cash that you should make a withdrawal ahead of the switch off.

It’s not expected that your debit or credit cards will stop working, but what Barclays haven’t clarified is if their customers will be able to make withdrawals from cash machines run by other banking institutions. To be on the safe side, if you’re a Barclays customer and likely to need cash in the early hours of Wednesday morning, make sure you get some readies earlier in the day.
