eCommerce MasterPlan interview with FreeeUp freelance network

No primary category set

Chloë Thomas over at eCommerce MasterPlan has just published an interview with Connor Gillivan from FreeeUp, a service which offers over 400 vetted freelancers to outsource your time consuming ecommerce tasks to.

In the interview, Connor explains the challenges of growing his own Amazon business which was based on a dropship model offering over 500 thousand products on Amazon. The experience of training and managing people for Portlight was a trigger in creating Freeeup. Having been forced to recruit quickly due to business expansion, Conner admits that mistakes were made and sometimes they’d end up with an employee that wasn’t a good fit.

Having fine tuned their recruiting procedures at Portlight, they aimed to create a solution where other ecommerce businesses could find freelancers with pre-vetted ecommerce backgrounds and skills who are able to start work immediately and Freeeup was born.

It’s an interesting listen and if you’re wondering where you can find freelance staff to work for you well worth investing half an hour to listen.
