No primary category set

Amazon have launched Amazon Business France, meaning that it is now available on three Amazon marketplaces across Europe. Companies with operations in the United Kingdom, Germany and France can now purchase business supplies in their local language, whilst accessing a range of business-tailored features designed to save time, money, and increase productivity.

Target Amazon Business France

This also means that sellers already on Amazon Business can now target French businesses and increase their B2B and export sales by reaching new business customers on Amazon France. Half of all units sold on Amazon Business are from independent, third party sellers, with more than 30,000 in the UK having accessed the Amazon Business Seller feature set.

Amazon Business Selling Tip

It’s well worth putting a little effort into Amazon Business. Amazon tell us that sellers who have adopted the feature “VAT Calculation Service” increased their B2B sales on Amazon Business on average by more than 50 per cent within the first month.

How is Amazon Business doing in the UK?

Amazon Business combines over one hundred million business-relevant products – everything, from laptops, and office supplies, to industrial safety and janitorial supplies – with a set of unique features tailored for business customers. It’s everything that customers know and love about Amazon, but for business.

After launching in the UK in April 2017, Amazon Business now serves more than 90,000 business customers – from sole traders and small businesses to large multi-national organisations and FTSE 100 companies, as well as institutional buyers like universities, hospitals and non-profits.

“The launch of Amazon Business on amazon.fr enables multi-national businesses with entities in Europe to continue to streamline their purchasing, whilst also providing new exporting opportunities for smaller UK businesses who sell on the Amazon Business Marketplace.”
– Bill Burkland, Head of Amazon Business UK

  1. Amazon should concentrate on b2b around the world because it is X4 the size of b2c.
By the year 2020 online b2b sales in America will be $1.2 trillion. If Amazon gains market share in b2b in the same way it has with b2c with a %40 market share, then that would equate to $480 billion with a %4 profit margin. That could equate to $19 billion in profit per year. Britain online b2b sales are apprx worth $150 billion and Germany is $200 billion, India $160 billion and France $150 billion worth.

There for it Amazon gain a leading share of the online b2b sales then that could be extremely profitable and push Amazon s net worth to over a trillion dollars.

  2. Amazon get this, and it all comes down to getting a proper VAT invoice, it is why you use it half the time.
Wheres markets like eBay you can even get a proper invoice, and have to email and then request one, same with half the UK retailers out there, it is just hassle….companies like ARGOS for example who are dinosaurs. Just an experience over the last week, the nonsense you have to go through, just to claim a bit of input back.
As far as selling on Amazon biz we did a bit last year, but it is not realistic to sell on with all the fees.
