Designed for for Sellers who have opened their Selling Account within the past 12 months, with Marketplace Starter you will have access to an assigned Amazon account manager who can help manage your Selling on Amazon account by providing guidance with registration and launch of your products on Amazon.
Marketplace Growth is designed for established sellers and will give access to an assigned Amazon account manager who can provide business growth guidance. You’ll want to ensure you’re ready for rapid expansion including selling globally to get the most out of this programme.
Amazon Marketplace Professional Services – Marketplace Starter
Amazon Marketplace Starter will get you 3 months of personalized coaching, training and insight from an assigned Account Manager and find out how to start Selling on Amazon, list your entire catalogue, manage your daily Amazon operations, expand your business, and optimize sales performance.
You’ll learn how to utilize Seller Central to manage your account, find recommendations for product offerings, set up Prime to offer fast free shipping to your customers, and enrol in Amazon programs designed to help boost your business. Amazon will help set up your catalogue with initial Amazon item listing and optimizing page content to help ensure visibility and present your products with detailed information.
You’ll also get guidance on optimizing product listings, setting up advertising campaigns, and running deals, promotions, and social media marketing to get maximum visibility for your products.
Marketplace Starter is currently only available for Sellers selling in the US Marketplace, who have opened their Amazon Selling Account in the past 12 months.
The cost is $700 per month for three months.
Amazon Marketplace Professional Services – Marketplace Growth
Marketplace Growth gives you 12 months of personalized coaching, training and insight from an assigned Account Manager. You’ll learn how to expand your business, gain guidance resolving business-critical issues, and optimize sales performance.
You will learn how to monitor and improve the health of your business. Dedicated support and performance consultation can help you troubleshoot and resolve issues faster (and possibly with an Account Manager resolve issues that would otherwise limit your account!). As with Marketplace Starter, you’ll get guidance on optimizing product listings, setting up advertising campaigns, and running deals, promotions, and social media marketing
You’ll also receive category-specific consultation to expand your product selection, plan for global expansion and be on the short list for Amazon pilot and beta programs.
You must have an active Professional Selling Account in good standing for 12 months on Amazon US and, although there is a minimum 6 month commitment, Amazon suggest you sign up for a 12 month period.
Costs vary according to your revenue so up to $10 million per year then the cost is $2,500 per month. For revenues between $1 million to $10 million per year the monthly fee is $3,500 per month and revenues over $10 million see a charge of $5,000 per month.
Does the Amazon Marketplace Professional Services Program sound expensive?
$5,000 per month or $60,000 for 12 months will frighten many sellers off, but that’s the top rate for sellers turning over in excess of $10 million and so works out at less than 0.6% of turnover which sounds a bit more reasonable.
