There’s news of service developments and innovation from the Far East: the Shopee marketplace is offering merchants and shoppers next day DHL delivery in Malaysia.
Merchants selling on Shopee Malaysia can now ship their goods via DHL and enjoy next-day delivery across most of the country. Two to three day delivery is also offered for more remote locations.
Shopee merchants are able to plug into the network of DHL ServicePoints located across Malaysia and drop off their parcels. Apparently sellers with multiple parcels, especially if they have a decent number of despatches, can arrange for a pickup by DHL directly from their premises.

What is Shopee?
Shopee first launched in Singapore in 2015 and has since expanded its marketplace reach to Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. It’s a marketplace we will be writing more about in due course. But we’d be also interested to learn more and whether it has been successful for you.
In terms of ecommerce, the population of Malaysia is about 32 million but it’s a relatively well developed economy for the region and strategically positioned close to other sophisticated markets.
