African marketplace MallforAfrica set to sell coveted Chinese brands across the continent

Customers of MallforAfrica (MFA), Africa’s largest e-commerce marketplace platform, will soon be able to purchase products from the most sought-after Chinese brands.

China and Africa make up the largest market in the world and relations between the two date back to the former’s founding year in 1949 when the second largest global economy adopted a strategy of reformation and opening up.

According to the Ministry of Commerce in 2017, trade between Africa and China is shooting up by 19 percent every year. Exports from China to Africa rebounded by 3% to stand at close to $47 billion.

The e-commerce giant currently sells into 17 African countries with plans on entering 10 more within the next 12 months.  Using an award-winning patented app, MFA offers billions of items from more than 250 of the best US and UK retailers—stores that would otherwise be inaccessible to its customers.

By managing every aspect of the order and return cycle, the app offers its customers in Africa a simple, secure and convenient solution to online shopping directly from many of the best brands in the world.

“We are excited to expand into such a booming economy and are fortunate to give our customers the opportunity to purchase products from China at very affordable prices the country has to offer. Since 2009, China has become Africa’s largest trading partner so opening a warehouse in one of the largest cities and adding Chinese brands to our platform was the next step for an ever-growing company.”

– Chris Folayan, CEO, MallforAfrica

MFA optimizes every customer’s shopping experience by enabling them to select the item they would like to purchase, add it to the shopping cart, and check out using the proprietary and secure payment system.

The platform offers seven payment options including MFA’s prepaid Webcard. Once purchased, the item is then shipped to a nearby warehouse in the US, UK or China.  MallforAfrica ships directly through a trusted courier partner and the package is then delivered to a pickup location or door-to-door.
