The much anticipated Etsy search analytics tool that will help merchants gain as much prominence in search as shoppers peruse the merchandise was launched a few days ago. But now, presumably due to a technical issue they have subsequently detected, it has been withdrawn from service.
We wrote about its impending launch just a few weeks ago
And the Etsy search analytics tool certainly does sound very useful and will help merchants optimise their listings to gain top billing as shoppers browse the marketplace. As Etsy noted a few days ago when they originally confirmed the launch:
This new tool puts the data you need right at your fingertips, so you can see where your items are appearing in search results and which listings could be bringing you more traffic. These insights are one tool you can use to help optimize your shop before the busy holiday season is in full swing.

And now, subsequently, they have rolled back the launch and withdrawn the tool from service. You can read that news here:
We recently introduced Search Analytics, a new tool that gives you more information about your Etsy search traffic. There’s a ton of data to share about the thousands of searches happening on Etsy and we need a little bit more time to make sure everything is running smoothly. We’re going to remove the tool for a little bit while we work to get it just right.

When it was originally launched, judging by this thread on the Etsy discussion boards, there was considerable confusion about the new tool and also questions about the accuracy of the data that was being displayed to users. At the moment it is not known whether or when the Etsy search analytics tool will relaunch. But we will keep you posted.
