Etsy discussion forums have been updated with new topic sections and functionalities such as mention and critique option in a bid to promote sellers’ interactions with each other.
Etsy say they aim to make it simple for sellers “to communicate with all members, including a streamlined group messaging feature and a customisable announcements section on each team’s homepage.”
The marketplace have announced the improvements to their team and forums in order “to make it easier to connect with other sellers and grow [their] creative business.”
The update saw the creation of functionalities which let sellers ‘like’ and ‘mention’ other sellers’ posts. Merchants can also search simultaneously across existing forums and teams threads to see what questions have already been answered by the community.
Other features include the new shop critique section which provides sellers with an easy way to share request feedback. Sellers can also take advantage of improved notifications including onsite notification and email alerts, which are aimed at giving merchants a total control of how they follow along with community conversations, from new replies to threads and mentions from other sellers.
A new resource page for Etsy Team leaders includes education, toolkits, and updates on opportunities for sponsorship. Merchants will also have access to self-service workshops and guides designed by Etsy experts to increase the success of team members.
