Amazon Day for Business launched in the US

Less than a month after launching Amazon day for consumers in the US, Amazon have now launched Amazon Day for Business to offer commercial buyers to have the same convenience of all their Amazon orders arriving on the same set day of the week.

Business Prime members in the US can now choose a set day of the week to be their delivery day, making it easier to get weekly purchases for each address on their account grouped and delivered together. This enables them to better plan their deliveries and reduce their receiving effort by having their eligible purchases grouped and delivered together. Grouping deliveries can also reduce delivery truck traffic and result in fewer boxes.

“We’re pleased to help reduce packaging by coordinating the delivery of items to business customers with fewer shipments and boxes. Customer feedback indicates that having one scheduled delivery day per week helps them streamline and simplify their order receiving processes.”
– Moz Thomas, Director of Business Prime, Amazon Business

To get started, Business Prime members can set their Amazon Day for Business in their Address Book, Group Address Book or when checking out with their next eligible purchase. Amazon Day for Business will then display as a shipping option on eligible items for everyone using that address across the organization.

Business Prime members who enroll in Amazon Day for Business can still access fast, free delivery options when they need them by selecting the best option for their items at checkout.

This program is one of many sustainability initiatives to help Amazon achieve Shipment Zero, the company’s vision to make all Amazon shipments net zero carbon, with 50% of all shipments net zero by 2030. As well as saving carbon, Amazon will save a ton on packaging costs and logistics by making a single delivery to customers instead of multiple deliveries each week.

One Response

  1. This is a way for Amazon to reduce its last mile delivery costs. The more businesses that use this service the more profit for Amazon. If a business orders 50 items a week from Amazon rather than 50 different deliveries there will be just 1, hence more profit. It also helps the environment because it reduces the carbon footprint.
