With the bank holiday weekend out of the way, many eBay sellers will be turning to their listings to replenish stock. If you’re a clothing seller this may be when you realise that new eBay Item Specifics came into effect on the 1st of May for some fashion categories.
First the good news, eBay say that your Good ‘Til Cancelled listings won’t be blocked and will continue to renew. The not so good news is that you can’t make any edits to these listings such as adjusting available quantities without updating the new eBay Item Specifics.
The new eBay item specifics you’re required to complete for new listings or when editing existing listings are: Skirt Length; Style; Colour; Material; Outer Shell Material; Heel Height; Neckline; Fit; and Sleeve Type.

Use Optiseller’s Aspect Finder Tool to find missing new eBay Item Specifics
eBay have made Optiseller’s Aspect Finder Tool available free of charge to use until the 30th of June 2019. This tool is intended to automatically review your listings, identify which ones are missing item specifics and extract the information if it’s found elsewhere in the listing. You can then use the report to update your listings directly on eBay in bulk or through your listing tool.
