Amazon are today launching a range of measures to help small businesses grow. Over 100 SMEs will get the opportunity to take part in the Clicks and Mortor pop-up shops and a £1m Amazon Apprenticeships fund has been announced to put ecommerce apprentices in SME businesses. Amazon are also kicking off their 2019 Amazon Academy programme today.
For the first time ever, attendees at Amazon Academy will also get the chance to see behind the scenes in an Amazon fulfilment center and see what happens to their stock when a buyer makes a purchase.

Today also sees the launch of the 2019 Amazon Academy programme – a series of free events across the UK to provide hands-on, practical training to help small businesses succeed in the digital economy, in particular by growing their export sales.
Since 2016, the Amazon Academy programme has helped more than 2,500 UK SMEs scale their businesses. The first event in 2019 is taking place today at Amazon’s fulfilment centre in Manchester, and will include training sessions from Amazon teams along with independent business, marketing and intellectual property experts.
In the morning, attendees will discover how to can make the most of the digital opportunity as a small business, with insight from Amazon, Enterprise Nation and other independent experts and successful entrepreneurs. In the afternoon, they will have the chance to go behind the scenes in a fulfilment center and see what happens when you click ‘buy’ on Amazon UK as well as a networking lunch with fellow entrepreneurs and experts.
