Amazon are helping communities around the world remain stocked up by hiring 100,000 new employees to support the delivery of goods and critical supplies. As people begin social-distancing and the more vulnerable are asked to self-isolate, demand increases meaning Amazon among other online and offline retailers are working hard to keep things running smoothly.
The high demand for household essentials and medical supplies is one of the reasons Amazon decided to take action in suspending FBA for all small business sellers to free up space in their warehouses for products consumers require the most. It looks like the rush and panic buying of consumers is causing strain on the services Amazon provide, hiring more staff might help maintain a good flow for now but some sellers are still clouded by uncertainty. Fear not, Amazon are inviting people who’s jobs have been lost or furloughed to join the Amazon team until things go back to normal.
The company plans to invest $350 million globally to increase pay in the U.S.,Canada, the UK, and many other EU countries for employees and partners in fulfillment centers, transportation operations, stores or those making deliveries so that others can self-isolate. The pay increase show how Amazon recognize their employees as vital and appreciated at a time when many of the services that might normally be there to support them are closed.

Hopefully the quicker Amazon take on new employees the quicker they can start accepting stock into FBA again.
