Online retailers expecting to cash in during the Christmas season should check they have the right insurance protection in place, says specialist broker PolicyBee. With a reported over 50,000 new sellers registering on eBay alone, many high street businesses have migrated to online selling for the first time and should also check their insurance policy to ensure it fully covers them for selling online.
Online retailers were already expecting a record season of sales this Christmas before a second lockdown in England was announced, causing shops selling non-essential goods to close their doors until at least early December. Prior to the lockdown announcement, survey results had already indicated that over 60% of consumers were planning to shop more online during the seasonal period.
