Keeley Wamback a Canadian single mom built a successful business on eBay which gave her the flexibility she needed to provide for her daughter whilst working from home.
Keeley launched her eBay store Keeksboutique in 2014 after she found success in selling some of the thrifty clothing items from her wardrobe. Keeley’s passion for buying from second hand stores soon became her job and her eBay store is now dedicated to selling second-hand clothing and more recently vintage items.
Keeley credits a portion of her success to the skills and connections she made from eBay’s Retail Revival program in 2019. Aimed at training local business owners on how to sell their unique inventory on the global marketplace, Retail Revival helped Keeley strengthen her ties within the local business community.
As well as the connections she made throughout her time running her online store, Keeley’s favorite part about selling on eBay is the ability to shape her own schedule and run her business anywhere at any time. When Hazel was still an infant, Keeley would start work after her daughter went to sleep most nights.
Due to the pandemic like many Keeley needed to supplement her income due to restrictions that slowed her sourcing. Interestingly due to her experience on eBay running her own store, Keeley was even able to secure a job as a sales representative.
