From the 22nd of February 2021, there will be new eBay item specifics requirements in six categories for all new and revised listings. If you sell in the relevant categories then you can download the Excel files below to check exactly what will be needed.
As is always the case, there are two approaches, you can either start the work today and be prepared for when the 22nd of February comes around, or you can do nothing and deal with issues when the arrive after this date. Leaving until you’re forced to act will of course mean that you won’t be able to perform basic tasks such as updating inventory when new stock arrives until you also update item specifics.

eBay Item Specifics Requirements and Optiseller
In the last Seller Release (September 2020), eBay said that the Optiseller Aspect Finder+ tool would remain free of charge and courtesy of eBay, to automatically review your listings until at least the 31st of December 2020. However a note on the Optiseller site states that the tool will now be free for all eBay sellers until the 30th of June 2021. With that in mind, we would encourage you to check out the Optiseller Aspect Finder+ tool to help you discover which listings need updating and then applying the changes to your live listings on eBay.
