Top Tips from Siobhan
- If you are using an artificial tree that has been stored in a box like the Prelit Balsam Fir Tree, start by manipulating the branches, fanning out each bough to create a full, authentic look.
- Wind additional Warm Fairy Lights around the tree, from bottom to top, weaving them into the branches for that extra sparkle.
- Dress the tree with the biggest items first, starting with the Faux Pampas Grass.
- Slot the grass in between the branches at diagonal angles, adding depth and texture.
- Add the largest of the Gold Artificial Monstera Leaves, again adding these at different angles in the branches.
- Take the Feather Trim Boas and wind them around the tree, starting at the bottom and making your way up. Weave them in and out of the branches so that you can see glimpses of colour between the boughs.
- Now it’s time for the high-impact, statement decorations. Clip the Glitter Bird Christmas Tree Decorations and the Jewelled Peacock Decorations on to the branches – these don’t have to be symmetrical!
- Paint the Metal Bird Cage Tealight Lanterns with Gold Spray Paint, let them dry and add them to the tree. The gold will add extra light to the tree, as it reflects the warm yellow glow of the fairy lights.
- Slot the Mustard Ostrich Feathers between the branches so they fan out.
- Finally, fill the gaps in the tree with the smaller decorations, like the Glitter Christmas Flowers with Clips and the Artificial Colourful Feather Bird Decorations, adding pops of tropical colour all the way up the tree.
