Amazon named the lowest priced U.S. retailer

For the sixth year running, Amazon have been named the lowest priced online retailer in the U.S., with prices that were 13% lower on average than competitors.

Global ecommerce analytics company Profitero released its annual pricing report, finding that Amazon had the lowest online prices among all retailers it studied, with prices averaging 13% lower than competitors.

The independent study analyzed online prices for nearly 15,000 exact-matched products in 15 categories and 13 leading retailers in the U.S. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Amazon has been found as the lowest priced retailer of all U.S. retailers surveyed by Profitero.

So you're telling us that the company who "avoids" paying almost any tax, and treats its workers like dirt, can offer lower prices than everybody else? Well blow me down!

And amazon are different than any other company or individual how? Tax avoidance is legal. Much to the annoyance of a few people. I find sometimes amazon are cheap sometimes they are expensive. Got my eye on a book at £11.95 on amazon, cheapest non amazon price I can see is 30 quid. Like pretty much any site sometimes they are the best offer, sometimes not.

I buy online regularly and Amazon is usually more expensive than ebay. They may be cheaper in the USA but they aren't in the UK.
