ManoMano UK has seen sales of solar panels increase by 107% the first month of 2023 as the public aims to reduce their energy bills amidst rising costs, whilst also protecting the environment in the process.
The DIY and home improvement marketplace has also seen sales of autonomous solar kits rise by 120% in the new year, as the demand for renewable energy continues to grow.
This makes ManoMano an obvious platform for retailers of renewables, not just solar – with shoppers making the marketplace a consideration it should be front of mind for any and all retailers of energy related products from underfloor heating to air conditioning.
The addition of solar panels on domestic and commercial rooftops has seen a surge in popularity as it can provide an inexhaustible amount of energy that can sufficiently support in powering any building. With rising energy costs, the use of photovoltaics allows households to rely less on their utility company for supplying the power they need to run home and business appliances, in turn helping them save money in the long run.
However, as a renewable source of power, solar energy is encouraged as it plays an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change, which continues to remain a key focus for the UK. The continuous rise in renewable energy will play a major part in reaching the UK government’s target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
To help drive the UK’s Net Zero Strategy, the Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy announced targets of a five-fold increase in the UKs solar capacity by 2035, rising from 14GW to 126GW, and ManoMano is aiming to be a key driver in helping increase this solar output within Britain.
The marketplace provides a dedicated platform for wind and solar power equipment, with a huge selection of products within the range. To inspire and empower its clients, ManoMano has also published dedicated advice pieces offering customers a guide to solar energy including information on how a solar panel works, how to choose an efficient solar panel and how to calculate solar panel size and output, as it aims to influence more people to turn to renewable energy and help protect the environment.
Due to the energy transition, renewable energies and energy efficiency are increasingly in the focus of consumers and companies. We are pleased to be able to support both private individuals and companies in their energy plans and energy renovation projects with sales and advice on forward-looking technologies, such as photovoltaic products. As ecological responsibility and the significant reduction of our environmental footprint are among our corporate goals, this topic is particularly close to our hearts. And the development shows that many people and companies are willing to support the energy transition. Together we can succeed in achieving the UK’s climate targets.
