Beneko, the Product-as-a-Service consumer electronics marketplace, aiming to change the way we purchase mobile devices, is on the hunt for established marketplace sellers of refurbished and second hand smartphones.
Beneko is an entirely new concept that includes the ability to buy, sell rent and repair smartphones for their customers, in exchange for a monthly subscription. Subscribers then only pay for what they use, with the ability to return items once they’re done – hopefully to upgrade to a new device.
Beneko doesn’t make any profit from products sold on the platform, their profits come from consumer subscription fees. They also don’t need to sell products on other platforms because they already have their own customers.
Consumers are asked to return all their old and unwanted products to Beneko, from televisions and printers to smartphones and other electronic devices. They will be inspected and sold as second-hand products or reused for spare parts to can recover as much value as possible before recycling. Then Beneko give the money back to customers in the form of credit which can be used for their next payment in our app.
Product-as-a-Service isn’t entirely new, but Beneko have big ambitions and already claim 2 million customers across 28 countries with a turnover of €500 million. Launched in 2007, they can give retailers access to the UK and 27 EU countries and that’s a huge potential customer base.
If you are interested in partnering with the Beneko marketplace, you’ll be pleased to here that they charge sellers 0% commission (Yes zero, nada!), and you can apply to find out more here.
