The eBay & Bumble Pre-Loved Dating Collection 

Broadcaster and presenter Clara Amfo has collaborated with eBay and Bumble to inspire The Pre-Loved Dating Collection, which centres around four key dating milestones: the first and third dates, meeting the inner circle, and the first activity date.

This comes as new research has revealed that young singles may be experiencing ‘Date-fit Fatigue’, a trend which refers to feeling overwhelmed when it comes to balancing your desire to look and feel your best on a date but also being conscious about your budget and the impact to the planet.

A quarter of single Gen Z and millennials have admitted to falling foul to a ‘panic purchase’ before a date, with 77% having spent up to £400 on new date outfits in the past three months alone. Despite this, almost half (46%) do want to treat themselves to an outfit for a confidence boost on a date.

Amfo shares her style advice for each milestone as part of The Pre-Loved Dating Collection on eBay, which features over 500 pieces curated by Clara Amfo is available to buy!

The first date

First impressions count – This part of the collection is full of pieces that can be dressed up or down, so you can feel 100% confident on that premiere meeting, whether you’ve chosen an oversized jacket, knee-high boots or a stacked heel.

Third date, a hat trick of romantic success! I’ll always be a fan of strong-fitted material, jeans, denim dresses or tops will never fail. This milestone collection features pieces from some of my favourite bands, including Ganni. All pre-loved, so you’re getting big brands for your date without the big price tag.

The first ‘activity’ date

Whether you’re having an hours long mooch in your area or going to gig – and active date shouldn’t mean you compromise on your personal style. With this in mind, my picks for this part of the collection are cosy and colourful. As much as I love a heel these days, I’ll always love a good pair of flat shoes, whether that’s a chunky boot or a classic pair of trainers. Pair with a mini or floor length bodycon skirt and you’re set.

Meeting the ‘inner circle’

If their people like you, you’re golden! Choosing an outfit to meet your new person’s inner circle can naturally make you feel a bit nervous. Love your legs? Go for the mini! Love bright colours?
