2bTanned were founded in 2021 by father and son team Giano and Ricardo, with a very simple yet audacious vision – to start a global tanning brand through the power of social media. And this was before social commerce had really taken off but they nonetheless they saw the future and started work fostering relationships with influencers.
In the early days, influencers simply used referal codes to send customer to the 2bTanned website, but then TikTok Shop came along and again Ricardo saw the future and firmly established the company as the go to tanning brand on TikTok.
Fast forward to today, and 2bTanned are about to celebrate their birthday with a 12 hour TikTok Live this Sunday. Ahead of the event, we spoke to co-founder Ricardo and Head of Creative Zoe McCarthy and are looking forward to a post sale report next week!
