Half price auctions for eBay UK on Thursday

No primary category set

eBay UK has a cheap listing day next Thursday, 24th January. Auction-style listings only will have half-price insertion fees (rounded down where applicable); this includes media categories which have their own lower insertion fees, so listings start from just 2p!

As usual there is a list of exclusions, most obviously including multiple item (Dutch) auctions, and BIN listings, so do read the small print before you list. Thanks to Gill for the heads-up!

eBay-watchers will already know that the Q4 2007 earnings call is scheduled for the afternoon of the 23rd in the US, which due to time differences is the night of the 23rd-24th in the UK. Now that just about everyone expects fee changes to be announced at that time, surely eBay aren’t trying to distract us with a cheap listing day? 😉

  1. Whatever changes ebay make to the pricing structure, they won’t be out of pocket. What they give with one hand they will take away with the other, so overall cost of sale will either rise or stay the same.
ebay must know (from board topics at the very least), that lots of sellers are savvy to saving on fees. Back to the drawing board and start searching for an updated fee calculator! 😆
