Pinterest is rolling out its Pinterest Propel product to business accounts in the UK and Ireland, in addition to Australia, Canada and New Zealand. This also marks the one-year anniversary of the US launch of Pinterest Propel.

Since introducing Pinterest Propel in the US, Pinterest has seen a 50% year-on-year increase in small business advertisers on the site. In the past year, Propel has helped companies like artnaturals, Chatbooks, Craftsy and Hubble drive traffic and reach new customers.

In fact, in the first 90 days, businesses using Propel see up to three times more clicks and 15% lower CPCs than businesses not in the programme.

Over the past few years, Pinterest has introduced  features that make it even easier to create and manage Pinterest Ads. For example, it’s made it possible to set up a Promoted Pin in just a few quick steps with the “Promote” button on each Pin.

There are more than 1.5 million businesses on Pinterest each month connecting with people who are making a decision about what to do or buy next. Because people come to Pinterest with a purpose — from planning where to go on their next vacation, how to style their home or what to wear to work — businesses can turn them into customers, driving continuous growth.

To make sure that it provides the right solutions to help small businesses scale their Pinterest investment, Pinterest is announcing that it’s hired a new global head of SMB, Matt Hogle. Hogle is joining Pinterest after nine years at Facebook where he helped build the platform’s sales and operations for small businesses. His experience building sales and operations programs will help us develop several new programs geared to SMBs.
