The pandemic has turned all our lives upside down with millions being furloughed, some of whom inevitably being made redundant. The one bright star has been ecommerce growth and one such beneficiary is Huboo who have now doubled their warehouse space in Bristol and created over 100 new job roles.
In just 18 months, the business has grown from two employees, 60 clients and £20,000 in monthly recurring revenues to 120 employees, over 500 clients and £800k a month – a growth rate of 40x.
To cope with the increasing ecommerce growth Huboo has expanded into two more warehouses, adding to its existing two and doubling the overall warehouse space. Located on Vertex Park South, Bristol, Huboo provides end-to-end fulfilment services for eCommerce businesses of all sizes.
In addition, the company is looking to take out new, permanent office space in the city centre where HR, finance and marketing teams will be situated, freeing up space at Vertex Park South for the warehouse and logistics teams.
“We’ve been growing at an extraordinary rate throughout 2020. We’ve just added two more local warehouses in Bristol to meet demand and are actively seeking out both UK and EU expansion options for post Brexit.
The growth of online shopping has led to a boom in demand for third party logistics solutions. They’re the quickest and cheapest solution for ecommerce and high street retailers looking to grow or diversify with both large scale requirements or even to extend a specific range or channel, as well as move to target direct-to-consumer.
We were seeing great growth before the pandemic, but consumer habits have been catapulted years ahead of where they would have been with COVID19 driving consumers to online shopping.”
– Martin Bysh, co-founder of Huboo
Huboo uses unique ‘micro hub’ technology to enable online retailers of all sizes to access a complete end-to-end fulfilment operation within minutes. While many businesses find it hard to access efficient, cost-effective fulfilment to support their e-Commerce businesses, Huboo utilises software to drive a smarter, more productive and human-centric warehouse.
Each ‘hub’ replicates the inputs, processes and outputs of a complete warehouse within a few hundred square feet, with Huboo’s management software keeping tabs on every item throughout the fulfilment process, with a dedicated Hub Manager running each one.
The company’s software provides everything from transaction management and quality control, stock control, order tracking and billing information to integration with popular sales channels and marketplaces, such as Amazon, eBay and Shopify, enabling the company to directly receive and process retailers’ orders in real-time.
Huboo are advertising 100+ roles to work in Bristol, including Hub Managers, PHP Developers, a Data Scientist, Health & Safety Manager, Accounts Assistant and European HR Manager, amongst others.
