eBay tutorial: How to set up Multi Variation Listings

No primary category set

eBay have released a video tutorial demonstrating how to create a Multi-Variation Listing (MVL) on eBay. The product manager for MVL Anshu Goel who features in the video has also offered to answer any questions you have regarding MVLs.

There are many advantages to using MVLs on eBay, but they’re not quite as easy as normal listings to manage though. Apart from the ease of inventory management the biggest benefit is being able to purchase listing features such as picture enhancements and Featured First and only pay once, instead of paying for features on multiple separate listings.

I’ve spoken to a few sellers who have launched MVLs, and it’s not straightforward the first time. The best tactic is to make sure you have all the information you’ll need before starting to create the listing – Product pictures (both generic and variation specific), SKUs (Stock Keeping Units, the code for the custom label field to identify the precise product variation), inventory figures and pricing.

Don’t forget that MVLs are free to list until the end of September. If you’ve got any questions post them in comments below and Anshu will do her best to answer them for you over the next week.
