UK eBay fulfilment by Orange Connex (eF) recently launched to offer the first end-to-end fulfilment service for UK sellers with faster delivery options, improved logistics management, more streamlined processes and enhanced seller protection. We know many have had questions on this new service, so today we publish a set of eBay fulfilment by Orange Connex FAQs, with answers direct from eBay, to respond to many of these queries.

eBay business sellers have access to dedicated Fulfilment Centres in Leicester and Birmingham, where goods can be stored, packed and delivered. It has been launched in response to the significant growth in online shopping over the past year, and the rising demand from SMB sellers on eBay looking to scale and grow their business.

How much will it cost to use eF

There are two main fees you will need to consider. The fulfilment fee which covers the pick, pack and dispatch of your product based on your item weight and dimensions, and the storage fee which is charged per metre cubed per month. There are also fees which cover additional optional services such as, labelling, packaging, photo taking and disposal (if needed). Orange Connex’s (OC) rate card has all the sizes, dimensions and services offered. Are there any limitations on the number of SKUs I can register or send in?

You can register and send in as many products as you wish. There are specific dimensions and weights which you can refer to on OC’s rate card.

What badges will I get on eBay?

If you opt-in to the express shipping service, then you will be able to see the ‘next day’ shipping badge on your listings in search. The fulfilment programme also allows you to benefit from outstanding retail standards on the platform. In the postage section in the middle of the listing page, you will also be able to see ‘eBay standard’ or ‘eBay express’ as shipping options, depending on which one you choose.

Can I ship internationally?

If you are using the Global Shipping Programme, then you will be able to fully integrate with this. If not, we are working on a direct shipping solution. Further information will be available over the coming weeks.

Do I need to ring fence stock for eBay?

The fulfilment programme offers multi-channel capabilities meaning if you sell on your own website, another marketplace or anywhere else online, you’ll be able to benefit from the storage, pick, pack and dispatch of the items.

What happens if my items go missing or get damaged?

You aren’t responsible for item loss or damage that occurs after it is received at an OC fulfilment centre. You also won’t be responsible for refunding the buyer if an eBay Money Back Guarantee case is filed against you for one of the following reasons:

  • A buyer claims an item isn’t received
  • Package is damaged in transit

How will I know where my packages are?

All parcels are fully tracked and you will have full visibility over your items using the OC portal.

What are the different ways I can integrate into eF?

Currently you can link your eBay account to the OC portal directly and sync all your listings to select which ones you’d like to add onto the fulfilment programme. Alternatively, you can use a batch upload or add your SKUs manually. If you are using a third-party provider, please get in touch with a member of the team to see if a solution is available for you. eBay have created some video tutorials to guide sellers through the entire journey, from sign up to sending your inbound.

How long does it take from sign up to inbound?

Signing up is quick and easy, you can sign up and create an inbound within 2-3 working days. There are a couple of steps which require 1 day verification, hence the 2-3 working days. Register your interest to receive some more guidance from a fulfilment specialist.

Are there any prohibited items?
