There is a seller on eBay who has lost their Top Rated Seller badge but still has their items promoted as a Top Rated Seller in eBay search.
TameBay reader Dario spotted the anomaly and if you check the seller’s feedback or the “Seller Information” section of their eBay listings they’re clearly not a Top Rated Seller and eBay aren’t displaying the TRS badge on their listings.
However if you’re looking for their items in search results the search result page is still promoting them as Top Rated. Any buyer looking for items this particular seller supplies will still see the Top Rated Seller badge displayed in search results alongside their listings. What we don’t know is if the products are still receiving the TRS boost in Best Match search results.
Have you ever seen this before? How many sellers have lost Top Rated Seller status but still have their products promoted as TRS in eBay search results? Are eBay gifting certain sellers search preference even if they have lost TRS status?
I’m sure that there are plenty of conspiracy theorists out there who will believe that eBay are showing bias based on the sellers feedback, but from past experience with eBay it’s much more likely to simply be a bug in their software.

If the account is still Top Rated I wonder why eBay aren’t displaying the logo in the Seller Information Box – either way there’s an anomaly somewhere.
I guess it’s one of those odd bugs.
surprised if any bugger will be TRS soon,
we are losing our TRS for the first time because of 6 communication low scores thats more in a month than we have received in 2 years,
just has to be with the new invoice and messaging system
Its prob caused by ebay re-gifting trs status back to the seller and manipulating the low trs scores in thier favour.

Supressing non trs and promoting trs listings is nothing but a lottery.
ebay can’t even provide accurate lists of 1 single day’s sales, or sort items into high/low price properly.

I love the fact the tesco sell new DVDs on buy it now for £1. After you deduct vat, ebay paypal fees, p&p they can’t be making any profit unless ebay give the free listings and free FVF
