Royal Mail and union fail to reach agreement

It seems that the UK’s postal service problems are not over just yet, as the CWU’s website reports that talks with RM management concluded Sunday night without any agreement having been reached. The union say they were prepared to extend the talks, but that Royal Mail “informed the Union that the period of calm is over and they will now prepare to run the business and move change forward”. Quite what that means in practical terms isn’t yet clear.
