The van that inspired Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park to create the Anti–Pesto van used in “The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” is up for sale on eBay. Bidding is fierce already approaching £3500.00 with over nine days until the auction ends.
It’s a 1958 Austin A35 which was restored in 2005 and has since then has been garaged so there’s no MOT but it shouldn’t take too much to get it back on the road. The bodywork and engine were all repaired and reconditioned.
The auction is to raise money for the Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation, a UK charity raising funds to improve the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices. Sadly despite already having an account with Missionfish they’ve not chosen to use eBay for Charity.
