Infopia announce ecommerce summit and new CEO

No primary category set

Infopia have brought in a new CEO,Coleman Barney, who joins the company with a background in business intelligence and and process improvement. This seems fitting experience for the new leader of a Software as a Service (SaaS) company focused on enabling online sellers to take advantage of multiple channels to market their products. Outgoing CEO Bjorn Espenes remains with Infopia and will continue to serve on the board of directors

Infopia have also announced their 2009 eCommerce Leadership Summit to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah on 3rd – 5th March. Keynote speaker will be Guy Kawasaki who’s talk aims to share how to ethically and effectively defeat the competition. The rest of the conference will focus on how to optimize growth and profit across website and marketplaces, drive high quality traffic to your website and convert visitors to purchasers. There’s also an optional day’s skiing at Snowbird for those who want to stay an extra day.

  1. Guy Kawasaki – granted, he’s one of the only names Infopia can tout for the Leadership Summit thus far, but if you’re only going to have ONE, that’s a good one! Still, would love to see some testimonials/hear some feedback re: Infopia’s programming.

  2. Bjorn Espenes had no place running a company. I’m surprised Infopia is still around with the folks on the executive team. I wonder how soon it will be before Coleman figures that out.

  3. Infopia have announced some more speakers for their conference:
    • Elay Cohen, VP, Product Marketing at Salesforce.com
    • John Grech, Senior Director, Sales & Business Development at Power Reviews
    • Tim Ash, Author of “Landing Page Optimization”
    • Alan Keller, VP, Business Development at Vertical Response
    • Sandra Cheng, Product Manager, Google Website Optimizer
    • Jon Fougner, Performance Product Marketing at Facebook.com
