eBay UK insertion fees for multi-variant listings will be free from from 1st August to 30th September for business sellers. The offer is limited to those with a shop, and to Clothing, Shoes and Accessories categories which are currently the only ones where MVLs are available. All other fees apply as normal.
Granted, sellers aren’t going to get rich off this promotion, which will save between 20p and 1p per listing, depending on the level of shop subscription. But it should raise some awareness of MVLs and perhaps prompt a few more sellers to try them: my early experience is that buyers rather like the idea once they figure out what’s going on.
Digest, for those who like acronyms
It’s an MVL CLD!

we would use it if they hadn’t completely bollocked up the kids size breaks on kids footwear!
Hopefully they will sort it out soon!
Has worked well for us so far – early adopters seem to love it. Only problem at the moment is that the software we use for downloading and printing orders doesn’t yet show the variations which is a pain in the backside.
Anyway, it will only save a few pence but at least it’s a saving.
I must say, I’d like it more if Turbo Lister didn’t keep putting random SKUs in my listings, duplicating variation, randomly changing things and otherwise being a pile o’ rubbish. But actually for MVLs, not much slower to go through SYI, thank goodness.

It’s ebay’s fault as it can’t choose which image is the right one on invoices either. One sale it works, then for the next it doesn’t. It’s a real pain having to go back to the pc to see which variant you need to pick.
Wow – I am gonna save 4p a listing!
