eBay Outlets get their logos in the Seller Info box

No primary category set

eBay have started rolling out Outlets’ logos on the site. They’re currently appearing in the seller info box on the view item page and (for those Outlets that qualify) replaces the “Top Rated Seller” text that appears on other eBay seller’s listings.

The idea appears to be to introduce features to build trust – the retailers and manufacturers are all known names and the new Fashion outlet is intended to attract new buyers who don’t currently use eBay.

Whether it will work or not remains to be seen, but knowing you’re buying directly from a brand that you already know and trust, albeit on eBay, makes sense. The big question is will lesser known brands who may not be Outlets be allowed to add their logos in the future or is this a feature that’ll be restricted to the Outlets.
