Amazon UK extends FBA across Europe

Amazon UK has announced that sellers using FBA can now offer their products for sale to 9 of the largest EU markets. Sellers wishing to take advantage of this can sign up for FBA Export to EU and have their products available for export within an hour.

Check out the flags below for countries now included in FBA. FBA Export to EU can also be turned off again just as easily if it’s not working for you.

Fulfillment by Amazon allows merchants to ship a supply of product to Amazon: customer orders and returns are then dealt with by Amazon themselves. Though it’s not cheap, it does give merchants access to Amazon Prime customers, Amazon’s most dedicated shoppers. And if it stops you having to hire a warehouse and staff to do your packing, it might work out cost-effective anyway.

I would avoid buying anything through the FBA system.

I had a very difficult time getting Vat invoices from nearly all of the FBA sellers I recently purchased from.

Amazon send the item and supply the invoice.

But they do not supply a VAT invoice.

To then find the details to contact the seller was long winded.

It also took a very long time in many instances, with multiple emails, before VAT invoices turned up…

If you are buying for your business, avoid FBA by Amazon would be my advice.

I now just buy direct from Amazon due to these problems, when the choice is there.
