Getting British Businesses Online: Birmingham event

No primary category set

If you’re in Birmingham next Thursday evening (30th September, 6.30 to 8.30 p.m) it’s worth popping along to the Getting British Businesses Online seminar, especially if you don’t already have a website.

Although this event is really aimed at off line businesses who haven’t yet embraced the Internet (30% of businesses do not have a website), it’s a good opportunity to network and Matt Brittin, the UK MD of Google will be hosting the evening.

Visitors will be shown how to get a website in under 20 minutes, including registering a free .co.uk URL. There’ll also be professionals who can help you formulate your web strategy, or help you take your new website to the next level.

If you know of a business who don’t already have a website make sure you point them in the direction of the Getting British Businesses Online website. It may not give them the most sophisticated website in the world, but the information at the seminar could be their first step to their business entering the online world.
