PayPal wins two Website of the Year 2010 awards

No primary category set

Arsenal 1, PayPal 2 – An unlikely scoreline you may think, but Arsenal just won the accolade of “Best Website of 2010” and PayPal chalked up both the “Best Website of 2010” and the “Most Popular Website of 2010” awards in the Finance category.

Over 1.8 million votes were cast between October 21 and November 26 with 255 websites were nominated over 21 categories. Amazon and Shopping.com both won in the Most Popular Shopping and Comparison categories, but sadly eBay missed out this year having not won an award since 2008.

Stealing the Shopping category was a surprise winner, iBOOD.com. iBOOD stands for “Internet’s Best Online Offer Daily” and they claim to be Europe’s biggest one-day deal platform. Everyday at midnight iBOOD offers a new product for the lowest price on the internet.

Congratulations to PayPal and all the winners

  1. Are the voters actual users of these websites?

I will be amazed if they are!

Paypal must be doing something right though so well done.

What are Amazon doing right that eBay are not?

  2. Paypal is the best, and it is in our mind that “PayPal wins two Website of the Year 2010 awards”, instead, if Paypal lost them, we will feel strange even. Suppot PP.
