It was purchased new at Beverly Hills Porsche and then personalized with no expense spared including custom made silver ’23’ emblems on the bonnet, boot lid, wheels and steering wheel as well as embroidered on the front and rear seats and custom fitted floor mats. Number 23 was of course Beckham’s shirt number at LA Galaxy where he has played football for the past few years.
The original receipt is shown on the auction with a buy price of $145,790, but that didn’t include the cost of customising the car which cost $10,000s more.
Bidding which started at $75,000 has already topped $125,000 and there’s still five days left to run on the auction which finishes on the 12th January.
