They have been totally useless this year, from one posting day they have lost over 100 parcels and counting that we dispatched 1st class…helpful!
I did not realise that eBay do not take into account Royal Mail delivery deadlines when advising of estimated delivery dates.
Maybe ebay should restrict the use of this application for January to November and in Decemember (ebay proof read) not provide estimated delivery dates in the run up to Xmas?
What ebay says & RM does is a totally different thing….
Sadly, there are still tons of buyers that think it our fault & RM are so good to them……
Spare a festive thought for this poor Italian postman.
email recently recieved from customer:
“Sorry I was slow postman donkey has died”
and to think we only have snow to stop the mail 😀
This is what we normally call
“Left hand does not know what the right hand is doing”. eBay’s trial to similarise shopping experience with Amazon giving these “estimated” delivery dates is failing with the failing standard of Royal Mail Service.
Have you noticed, you get more “Where is my item ?” from eBay customer compared to Amazon.
On BBC Radio Cornwall there was an item about Temp RM Staff locally not being paid or not being paid the correct amount. BBC Radio Cornwall checked it out and it appeared as if this was happening in other Sorting Offices around the country.
So it is possible that problems with RM this Christmas could be being caused by RM Temp Staff not being paid correctly who are then spending time trying to sort it out and possibly worrying about how they are going to afford Christmas and not putting their full attention into sorting/delivering the mail.
Why is it that RM seems to go out of its way to make life difficult for itself and to make their service worse?
