To mark Independent Retailers Month in the UK and US Brightpearl have launched a £1 million fund to assist retailers getting set up to sell online.
It might seem strange that a company is launching a fund to help retailers get selling online during a month long promotion to encourage consumers to frequent local at independent shops, but the truth is that many of these retailers wouldn’t be able to survive without Internet sales. Back in 2009 eBay’s study for the Online Business Index revealed that almost half of online businesses also have a bricks and mortar presence and 4 out of 5 bricks and mortar firms believe the introduction of online trade has saved their businesses rather than harmed them.
Salman Malik, CEO, Brightpearl agrees saying “We’re keen to show our support for those retailers who are looking not just for better ways to manage their current business, but for ways to drive future growth as well. The stimulus package will be distributed in the form of awards, each worth up to £600 / $1,000, to enable small retailers to invest in growth by implementing Brightpearl.
Brighpearl’s multichannel retail software can assist in managing your sales with integrated POS/EPOS and ecommerce solutions, including Magento and eBay integration, to combine your online and offline channels.
