Spotted on eBay today by Tamebay reader Ben is an advert for the Business Seller 50,000 free listing promotion running from the 22nd to 26th October. The only trouble is that the end date is displayed in the advert as the 26th November, although the advert links to the promotion page with the previously announced October end date.
Ben wonders if eBay have a secret extension to the promo and wistfully wonders if it will run for over a month, but more realistically (and probably correctly) suggests it’s just an error on eBay’s part.
Here at Tamebay we tend to agree with Ben, the chances are as soon as eBay spot the end date of the 26th November the adverts carrying that end date will disappear, either that or eBay will have to announce an unexpected extension – we can but hope…

I hope not! During most of October I had a lot of items on the first best match page for the main keyword for the stuff I sell. Suddenly yesterday my first item is at the bottom of page 3. The first two pages are flooded with new listings. It looks like a lot of sellers are indeed listing all their inventory. Sales yesterday were down 40-50% compared to a normal Monday.
Has it happened to other sellers too?
