eBay have updated the Android App to include Shopping Basket support in the UK (and the US although they prefer to call it a Shopping Cart!
This should please Tamebay reader Liz who asked for the feature a few days ago when we were looking at the eBay App shortcomings as the shopping basket will also enable you to pay for multiple items, even from different sellers, with a single payment.
Liz also asked about searching a seller’s other items, whilst this isn’t easy if you click on seller information and the see seller’s other items you can refine by category, price, buying format and even view completed listings and sold items from a particular seller.
There are some search improvements such as search alternative countries if there are few or no search results and much larger images on the view item screen.
We still think that the eBay app could be better, but in truth an making an app work in exactly the same way as a browser based experience is extremely difficult. eBay are doing their best to extend features to the app and they’re doing a pretty good job of making the core eBay site features available to mobile users.
The latest version 2.2 eBay Android App is available to download immediately from Google Play.
